10th TUI Rhodes Marathon
Τhe NGO “Rhodes Marathon” co-organizes in cooperation with the South Aegean Region, the Municipality of Rhodes and EAS SEGAS Dodecanese, the 10th “TUI Rhodes Marathon”.
The race program will also include Half Marathon race, 10km and 5km races (Run and Walk) as well as 1km run for kids.
The race program will be held according to the following terms and conditions:

2.1 Marathon:

3. Participation Rules
In order to participate in the Marathon and Half Marathon races, runners must have completed their 18 th year of age.
Accordingly, for the 10 km road race they must have completed their 15th year of age and for the 5 km road race their 12th year of age.
In the 1km kids run participants must have been born between 2013 and 2016. In order to participate they must present a written consent from their parents.
4. Awards
The prizes (medal and diploma) are awarded to the first three winners of the Men’s and Women’s general classification of every race. The first male and the first female athletes of every race are also receiving a trophy.
5. Registrations- How to Register – Registration Types
5.1 Registrations
Registrations for the Marathon, the Half marathon, 10km and 5km races will be open until the 28th of March 2025.
Registrations will be made online.

5.3 Registration Types
The registrations can either be:
a. Individual
In order to pick up your race pack you have to present an ID card or passport.
In case of picking up the equipment of another runner, it is necessary to present a copy of the personal ID or passport of the representative.
During the operation of the Registration Center, underage runners who have registered individually, must provide their police ID as well as the responsible statement of consent of the guardian, in order to receive their race pack.
b. Team Registration, for more than 10 participants without race restrictions. The group registrations are addressed to any kind of sports club, gyms, companies, private and public organizations, travel agencies, but also simple groups of people who wish to participate as a team. The team registrations have a discount of 5€ per person in the 10km and 5km races and a discount of 10€ per person for the Marathon and the Half marathon race.
Every team should provide the contact details of their ‘Captain’. The captain represents the team for all issues that can occur in the communication with the organisers and will pick up the race packs of the team.
Upon receipt of his/her team race kit, the team leader must have his / her ID with him / her, as well as the proof of payment of his / her team participation fee. If it is not possible for the “Captain” to pick up the team equipment, his/her replacement must be officially nominated at the event, as a representative of the team, who upon receipt must have with him his ID card and proof of participation fee.

6.3 Payment Methods

ATTENTION: In order for a registration to be considered successful, an application must have been completed and the related participation fee must have been paid.
7. Elite Athletes
7.1 Invitation of Elite Athletes
The organization will provide a number of free entries and will cover travel expenses as well as accommodation for runners having better times than the those listed in the table below during the previous 2 years in official competitions.

Note: Having the above standards doesn’t provide any kind of rights to the runners. The final decision of the elite runners will be made by the organizing committee. The organizing committee reserves the absolute right to select them. Interested runners should contact the organizers of the event at [email protected] at least 4 weeks before the race, stating their personal details (name, gender and date of birth) and the performance, the year and the event where they achieved it.
7.2 Prize money
The following prize money are established for the first three winners of the general classification of Men and Women in the Marathon:
1st (Men & Women) Marathon € 1,000
2nd (Men & Women) Marathon € 350
3rd (Men & Women) Marathon € 150
The above prize money will be given only if the performances are better than 2:40:00 for men and 3:05:00 for women
8. Runners Attendance
All Runners must be at the starting point at least 45 minutes before their race start time.
9. Participants Safety
In any case all runners are participating on their own risk.
- The organisers have no responsibility for any health problems that can or may happen during the race and is due to lack of preventive medical examination.
- It is recommended that all participants have undergone a recent health care check up.
- Organisers will not ask for any medical certificate since all runners are participating under their own risk and the underage runners with the consent of their parents.
However, there will be an organized medical team ready to provide assistance if needed.
10. Aid-Refreshment stations
10.1 Marathon Course
Along the Marathon Course there will be refreshment stations for all participants offering the following:
- Bottled water every 2.5km
- Energy Sports Drink (in a cup) every 5 km
- Bananas at the 25, 30 and 35 km mark as well as at the Finish.
- Energy Gels at the 20 and 30 km mark
- WC every 2.5 km
- Medical help will be available on the race start and finish and at every refreshment station.
At the Finish area there will be bottled water, sport drinks, energy bars and rehabilitation supplements for the Marathon and Half marathon runners.
10.2 Half marathon Course
Along the Half marathon course there will be refreshment stations for all participants offering the following:
- Bottle water every 2.5km
- Energy Sports Drink (in a cup) every 5km
- WC every 2.5 km
- Medical help will be available on the race start and finish and at every refreshment station.
At the Finish area there will be bottled water, sport drinks, energy bars and rehabilitation supplements for the Marathon and Half marathon runners.
11. Km Marks
On all courses there will be visible Kilometre marks (except 5km race)
12. Time Limits
The time limit for the Marathon Race is 6 hours from the start of the race. For the Half marathon the time limit is 3 hours, for the 10k race is 100 minutes and for the 5k race is 55 minutes.
ATTENTION: Furthermore, there will be a cut off time of 3 hours for the marathon runners to cross the Half marathon mark.
Athletes who continue their effort beyond the cut off time are acting at their own risk. The Police will hand over the race course to the traffic gradually, after the last runner passes within the set time limit through the supply stations.
13. Chip Timing - Results
13.1 Chip Timing
Timing of all races and live results will be provided by an official timing company.
The following timing points will be set at each race:
- Marathon Race: Start line, U-turns, 21,1 km and the Finish line
- Half marathon Race: Start line, U-turns, and the Finish line
- 10k Race: Start line, U-turns, and the Finish line
- 5k Race: Start line, U-turns, and the Finish line
Runners that won’t appear in the results on the above points will be disqualified.
13.2 Results
The unofficial results will be published live, online. This provides the opportunity to whom it may concern to lodge an objection within 5 days. The official results will be published within 10 working days from race day.
14. Registration Center
Race pack pick up will take place at the registration center, hosted at the University of the Aegean, 1 Democracy Avenue, Rhodes, 85132 during the following days and hours:
- Friday, April 4th: 15:00 to 20:00
- Saturday, April 5th: 10:00 to 19:00.
Race pack pick up will also be available on race day, at the info kiosk, at the starting area, 45 minutes before each race.
ATTENTION: In order to receive your Race pack, it is mandatory to present the email confirmation of your participation, either the proof of payment, or your own identification document (a photocopy of the document is sufficient), or that of the runner for whom you will claim to receive his/her entry package.
15. Terms of participation
All participants responsibly state that they have recently undergone a medical examination and are perfectly healthy to participate in this sporting activity.
They fully accept responsibility for any injury or accident that may be caused when commuting to and from the venue of the race, or during the event as well as for anything that may occur during the race such as falling down (which can be caused during contact with other participants), bad weather conditions, traffic, or poor road conditions as well.
They waive any demand from the organizers, sponsors and anyone directly or indirectly involved in the organisation of the event and they accept that the above persons bear no legal responsibility for anything that may arise during my participation.
All registrations will be considered completed once both the online registration and the payment of the related cost have been made. Banking or any other money transfer expenses are borne by the participant.
Registrations are personal and are not transferred to third parties at any stage of the registration period.
Cancellations and refunds of participation costs will be made until March 21th 2025. After this date no cancellations and refunds of costs will be made.
Participants give their approval to the organizers to use their photos or videos from the race, or any other recording without any financial or any other requirement.
Participants give their approval to the organizers to publish in the race results their personal details and more specifically the name, gender, year of birth, club and nationality.
In case of postponement of the event, the entries will be transferred for the new date set by the organizing committee.
The organizers have the right to change the terms of participation after making the relevant announcement.
16. Regulations
The races will be conducted under the regulations of SEGAS, World Athletics and AIMS.
